@shriramk I remember learning HTML by viewing source in AMosaic on my Amiga. At first I thought, obviously, the “<LI>” tag must be for LInk. When I learned it was “<A>” I rationalized it as “from A to B”

Maybe the best of all world is a QT option where the original author (the one being quoted) can decide whether to be anonymized or not (and can toggle this freely, not a one-time choice; so you could change if a dog-pile began).

I've just been indiscriminately following back everyone who's followed me since 2020 or so, and while I think I'm reaching critical mass and may need to scale back on that soon, what strikes me is that so far I haven't had a single follow out of nearly 1000 that I've obviously regretted. I can't remotely imagine this being feasible on the other place.

Of course, it's possible it's just because the 500 bitcoin bros I've accidentally followed all haven't said anything yet, but I'm still kind of impressed.
