Part of my hesitation to check out Wednesday is because I am super burned out on Tim Burton. He hasn't done anything I've liked in at least 20 years.
Though I guess the writing is mostly by Gough and Millar, who created Smallville and Sword of Shannara and Into the Badlands. I've generally liked their stuff. So I guess I ought to give this a shot!

@charliejane Didn't know they did Shannara Chronicles, but that explains a lot. Other than maybe some aspects of the set design, this is way more their style than his. The delivery on the witty goth one-liners is about on par with "Sloppy Rover Seconds" in terms of cringe-factor, but everything else has heart so it's okay.
