@grumpasaurus @javavvitch I actually make some of my more challenging ice creams in the winter because I can stick the ice cream maker out on the deck and it has an easier time getting the batter down to the freezing point before the ice cream maker warms up too much

@javavvitch @grumpasaurus look up the sweet ice cream base from the old Ben & Jerry’s cookbook (floating around online). It’s a phenomenal template to riff on top of, just gotta try and stick close to the basic liquid / sugar / fat ratio.
