@ricci I found this photo from some article about the Miata and I think it’s really cool. Shows the whole internal platform, engine, drive train, suspension. The part that I cut off is the kind of thick curved black bar in front.

@irene Wow, I love this, really shows what's going on in there. I assume the bar is for stability, but is also extra weight?

@irene @ricci It links the two front wheels so one can’t lift without the other, for stability especially when steering. Irene is replacing it with a thicker one, and cutting away the original one to remove it without having to remove a bunch of parts and play some serious Tetris, because it’s buried in there. The new one comes in pieces so it’s easier to install.
