@lenary I don't really want to change the name -- it's riffing on the Twitter account NYTMinusContext. On the other hand, that account hasn't been updated since 2018, so maybe the joke is stale and I should just close up shop.

@lindsey @elfprince13 @dan @lenary types is a pretty chill instance (though Rule 6 might be a problem for a bot), I think the name is mostly there to make it clear we're not about being Polish, but you'd have to ask someone who's been here longer than me about that.
@bruceiv @lindsey @elfprince13 @dan @lenary rule 6 won't be a problem, that's in place for people who come on here and only post links to tweets they retweet on the public timeline which is super annoying
types.pl is a meme name and y'all are taking this instance way more seriously than any of us intended when we started two years ago back when mastodon was, apparently, an obscurity

@elfprince13 @dan @lenary True! The other issue is that I'm kinda not excited about putting it on types.pl because I don't want to look like I'm equating PL as a whole with types, but I might be taking the name too seriously.
