So many of the reasons people give for why we should prefer the decentralized and open nature of #Mastodon and the #fediverse to Musk's Twitter are the same reasons we should prefer #anarchism to the state.
@arossp it will be interesting to see if ActivityPub implementations are able to adapt to support real decentralization (and not just a few big instances with a bunch of niche satellite communities) at the scale of societal adoption that Twitter had
