I just finished reading your newsletter, actually. Good thoughts -- I agree about the SW trilogy. Empire is my favorite film of those 3, even though it is dark & without my preferred happy resolution. I have goofy love for the original, mostly b/c Lucas had no idea what he was starting there.
@sonomalass @charliejane one of the reasons I love Machete Order is it really raises the narrative tension on Luke's trajectory, *esp* when RotJ opens with him force-choking his way into Jabba's Palace...
