How did I make it like 40 years on this planet before anyone told me about harissa?

All y'all are fired

@regehr Looking at the ingredient list, I make food with that combination of stuff frequently, but I'll have to try this sauce

@ricci whole foods has it. they also carry a whole-grain mustard that I -- quite embarrassingly -- don't put on anything but instead sneak small spoonfuls of until it is gone

@regehr @ricci Have you seen the Maille store in Paris?? They will hand you a spoon and let you taste anything!

@irene @regehr @ricci There is also the Mustard Museum in Mt Horeb, Wisconsin... but it seems less likely that you will randomly find yourself there.

@dan @irene @regehr @ricci The mustard museum in mount Horeb is a national treasure. Along with the bar The Grumpy Troll. It used to have an amusement park called "Little Norway". My dad grew up 20 minutes from there can you tell?

@dan @irene @regehr @ricci discuss.systems roadtrip? start in seattle with a bus and pick up the utah folks along the way?

@kstatz12 @regehr @irene @ricci Reminds me of the time I checked in for a flight to China with a large box for checked luggage.
"What's in the box?"
"Ranch dressing, mostly."

(Irene's grandmother really likes ranch, ok‽)

@dan @kstatz12 @regehr @irene My dad once took a car alternator through carry-on luggage. They asked him some questions at the x-ray machine, but they let him through.

@ricci @dan @kstatz12 @irene a few months after 9/11 I sat next to a guy flying overseas with a suitcase full of phase-change reference thermometers, each of which looked basically exactly like a pipe bomb. he had stories.

@dan @ricci @regehr @kstatz12 @irene my friend’s mom was just traveling to Uganda with a dozen or so plastic totes as checked bags and the TSA guy working the scanner wanted a selfie with her pulling her baggage cart
