I've been going by this building for years, and always, the same thought: is this *really* a good idea? In a place with plenty of snow and ice? In a place with earthquakes? *Really?*

@ricci tunnel!! I wish I had a house with a tunnel

@dev @ricci My house has bridges but no tunnels. I inquired about adding a moat but had someone explain to me all the reasons that moats are not practical in Seattle.

@dev @dan Whew, gators would probably be even more impractical in Seattle. It'd only be warm enough for them to wake up, what, 5 minutes per year?

Though I do like this idea now for some superhero comedy movie: the villain has a moat with gators at their arctic hideout, and the heroes just walk by the sleeping gators

@ricci @dev I understand tapirs are controversial in Utah, though

@dan @dev I don't know what you're talking about, sir.

No, really, I don't.

@ricci @dev My understanding is that the Book of Mormon describes horses in the Americas in the pre-colonial era, and when confronted with this fact, the church’s response was “well maybe they were tapirs then”

Follow

@dev @dan @ricci I think I could pass an Ideological Turing Test for most Christian denominations on most doctrinal issues, but the LDS views on pre-Colombian history of the Americas just throw me for a loop every time.
