Ok, I have spoken about my vetting processes before. On Twitter when someone I don’t know DMs me I check the following:
1) are they followed by people I follow?
2) what are their recent posts and replies?
3) (if I’m still unsure) search their username and problematic words
Here: I have none of that. So I get a “hi” DM and 🤷🏻♀️ - they might be a perfectly nice person, I have no idea. And that’s a problem for me.
@Patricia Is it because the app/system doesn't have the necessary functionality, or something else?

@Patricia @bradleythughes The UI decisions on here are wild (see also the DMs pulling in people who are mentioned, and preferring screenshot gossip to QTs)
